Stop Content Theft works with creators, e-commerce brands, and agencies to tackle the unauthorised copying, redistributing, and monetising of their copyrighted content and protect their revenue. We also provide ongoing advisory to help clients prepare for future threats such as deepfakes, content being shared in private groups, and decentralised piracy networks.
We identify and remove unauthorised use of your content, particularly where it is being distributed or monetised without your permission. Beyond takedowns, we use OSINT methods to understand how your content is being distributed and the infrastructure behind it, helping you better protect your content and your revenue.
We identify where your work is being illegally distributed and where your brand is being misused or misrepresented, then take action to have this content removed. Beyond takedowns, we carry out deeper analysis using OSINT methods to identify where content is hosted, how it is being distributed, and the infrastructure behind it. This allows us to advise on how to protect both your content and your revenue.
We work across both publicly available content (such as social media posts, videos, digital products, and marketplace listings) and content shared within private environments (including messaging apps, chat groups, and members-only platforms). This ranges from individual pieces of content through to full libraries, courses, and websites replicating your brand.

This is a representative selection of the platforms and services we handle, not an exhaustive list.
We can begin work as soon as we have the necessary information and authority to act on your behalf. In many cases, this can be the same day. Response times will vary depending on the scope of the issue and the platforms involved.
To get started, we need confirmation that you own or control the rights to the content, along with examples of the content you want to protect and any known infringements. We will also require a signed agreement and authorisation to act on your behalf when submitting takedown requests.
Once you’re a client of ours and we have the legal authority to represent you, you can send any URLs that might contain infringements of your work. We will review the content, determine whether it is infringing, and proceed with the takedown.
We do not use AI tools, models, or systems for discovery, verification, or submission. All enforcement decisions are made and carried out manually to ensure accuracy and defensible outcomes. You can read our AI policy in full here.
There are no guarantees that any takedown notice will be successful, we can only advise you on the likelihood of compliance based on our knowledge of the platform and previous experience. Any service that guarantees removal is misleading.
Many search results are paid adverts, often linking to sites that claim to host your content but do not actually provide it. In other cases, platforms may not comply with takedown notices or escalation attempts. While we can disrupt and reduce visibility, there is no single mechanism that guarantees complete removal.
Yes. We handle both large-scale and ongoing infringement, from widespread distribution across multiple platforms to persistent re-uploads. This can be managed as a one-off project or ongoing work, where we continuously identify, remove, and monitor infringements, while advising on how to reduce recurrence and contain revenue loss.
In many cases, removed content will reappear elsewhere or be re-uploaded. Takedowns reduce visibility of infringing content and disrupt its unauthorised distribution, but they do not eliminate it entirely. To reduce recurring infringements, we look at how your content is distributed and address how it’s accessed and shared to limit your revenue loss.
No, all work is scoped based on your issues, your budget, and our capacity to assist.
We typically work on a project basis for specific issues, or on an ongoing basis where content is being repeatedly redistributed and needs continued monitoring and enforcement. For businesses that need more regular support, we can also work in a more embedded capacity.
We offer a free 30-minute consultation to understand your situation and how we can help. Contact us here.
We do not provide legal advice or legal representation. Our role is operational and advisory, focused on identifying infringements and managing enforcement across platforms. Where a matter requires legal action, we can coordinate with your legal team and provide supporting evidence.
No. We focus on enforcement and investigation rather than preventative watermarking services. However, we can advise on how watermarking can support content tracing and enforcement.
No, we focus on copyright infringements but contact us with your concerns and we can determine whether we are able to advise you.
We work both directly with clients and with agencies. We can support agencies on their clients’ content protection and enforcement, or work directly with creators, brands, and businesses.
